Josh began his journey as a home inspector in early 2021 and officially joined the Focus 1 team in the summer of 2021. In January of 2024, Josh became the owner and operator of Focus 1.

Prior to being a home inspector, Josh served in the United States Air Force. After serving our country for 21 years, Josh retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. During his career Josh was a Police Officer, training instructor, leader, and supervisor. In addition to those responsibilities, Josh also traveled state side and abroad performing risk assessments and installation security inspections to mitigate risk to the installation’s missions. This experience and training lend itself perfectly to his transition to being a home inspector and business owner. His keen eye for detail, understanding of complex situations and his ability to communicate in understandable language is key to being a good home inspector.

Prior to Josh’s military career he worked at his uncle’s construction company, learning the trade firsthand. He also did home renovations and had his own handyman repair service, which gives him additional insight into how things can be corrected.
